bartolis, Bag Strip does not curently ignore ESC. I'm working on a 4.0 release now and plan to disable ESC for this window. I do also plan to include a button in the target window to toggle between con modes.
Paganstar, you can completly disable all chat window stealthing by replacing eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml
with
_simple_eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml.
Just delete the and rename.
The 3.6 chat window does allow you to disable chat input stealthing for specific windows by setting Window Options to Title and Frame.

Hmm, started using Fetish Classic yesterday, and I love it! Great skin. However, late last night and again today, I can't start EQ. I do char autoselect (or I can get to char select screen fine), and then it says 'finding character' and then the screen goes black, and it crashes out. Any idea why this is happening? I changed nothing between the time it worked and the time it didn't.

Either run EQ2MAP patcher, or if yu dont use that utility, go into your custom folder and delete eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml or some such file.

Really? I always start EQ from the EQ2MAP patcher, and it worked fine for a while, and then just last night it started crashing after logging in. Didn't get into the game itself, but crashed at the 'finding character' screen.
UPDATE: Nope, still not working. Any ideas?
UPDATE AGAIN: Ok, just redownloaded it, and it works fine.

Problems With Fetish Classic
I have an NVIDIA GeForce4 TI 4200 video card that supports screen resolutions up to 1024 X 768. This makes the screen very crowded when trying to get all the things I need to have on the screen at once.
So I thought that if I could find a custom UI, it might allow me to do things like have smaller hotkey bars, etc. I find that with my shaman I pretty much need to have five bars of hot keys open at the same time or I begin to have to sacrifice useable spells/abilities because I don't have enough room for them on the screen.
I downloaded and installed the updated full release Fetish Classic per your instructions with no problems or surprises. Everything installed easily and appeared to work on the first try.
But then I noticed several apparently unfixable major bugs with my istallation. For example, the quest window is empty of quests, although it should be practically full. The skills window is also empty. The self-target health/power window is blank, dark and empty. As are the main target window and the persona window. There may be one or two other windows in a similar state of unuseability. I tried to adjust them but was unsuccessfull.
The guild information window and the inventory window appeared to be fine, as did the inventory bag windows. Although, the system did crash once when attempting to minimize the inventory window. However, there were no further crashes after that first one.
Also on the plus side, the hotkey bars were indeed smaller and appeared to work perectly. Which is the driving reason I'm trying to find a custom UI in the first place.
I tried to copy the ...mainhud.hotkey... file from the new UI\Fetish directory to the old UI\default directory and then switched back to the original UI. But when I did the hot keys were still large in spite of bringing their UI file over . The rest of the default UI appeared unchanged from the original distribution UI as well.
I would appreciate any help you could give me in getting the Fetish UI to work, or at least getting just the hotkey bars resized to the Fetish size with the rest of the screen being original distribution default UI.

You deffinetly have a screwy install. All windows should of corse be populated with the correct info. 95% of the time these issues are caused by improperly installing EQ2MAPs. Download, install and run the EQ2MAPs auto-updater (a link to it can be found in the first post of this thread).
FYI, several pieces from this UI are available as seperate downloads (including FetishHotkeys).
Copying files from a custom UI to the default directory will never work since the patcher replaces them with default versions.

I have the latest update of Fetish Classic and am using the automap. I recently have found I can't open the backpack or bag in my first inventory slot. I can switch bags and open the bags that way. But whatever is in my first slot is unopenable. If I use the regular EQ ui, this problem goes away.
Any thoughts?

My best guess is that your inventory XML might be bugged (?) Zonx will confirm on that. My suggestion is to redownload either the full version or if he has a seperate install of Fetish Inventory, DL that and pull out only the XML file. My best guess as to what is happening is that there is a page (maybe) over the top of the first slot.

Bigger Map?
I use the EQ2Map and I have found that I cannot see the map very well in 1600X1200 Res. I am thankful for your 133% mods, is there anyway to enlarge the map? I would do it myself, but really dont know how it all links with POI's and stuff. Anyways, I know you did not create it, but you are a damn good modder so I though I would ask you.

bishop97, could be you have a bugged character_server_settings.ini, which can result in some windows not behaving. A copy reported to be bug free was posted earlier in this thread.
Zheen, there's no way to alter the size of the map and still retain proper pointer location on the map. Alternate POI icons can be found in the EQ2MAPs download section.

Not yet. I prety much need to get the attention of a SOE dev to resolve this. Language translation is a level of complexity I haven't delt with yet and have no way of testing.

Guild sorts hidden
OK, 99% sure I had nothing to do with this when I swapped to my ReVert theme files, but the Name, Class and Level Labels seem to be hidden on the guild window. I downloaded Fetish Classic with the Goth theme layout. Not a problem for me, I can just go in there and fix it, prolly. But, just in case its not me:

Heya Zonx! Ok, I think I solved the mystery of what causes the Chat Boxes to go poof upon relogging. The Chat Font Default size, which is 15... needs to stay there, untouched when creating Character INIs.
I was able to successfully create a new character ini, with all my chat boxes without changing that font size. Reloaded fine, etc... and then changed the font size for each box individually, never touching the default one in the Options.
Ok, now, onto why I came here. :-) I found a bug, or something like that. In the new v4.0 Guild Window, the main/events page... when I scroll down the events using the slider... the events will dissappear after a short scroll. It works fine if I use the Mouse Wheel ON the slider itself, but once you hit the bottom of the events listing... once again, poof... no more.
Alrighty, any suggestions on my Bank Bags/Boxes and House Vault Bags/Boxes still deciding not to stay put? This is the absolute oddest thing and I KNOW it's not from your mod... so far every other one I've tried does the same thing. Here's what I'm doing.
Set the Bags/Boxes locations and ensure they were not too close to any edges of the screen. I play in Windowed Mode on a 1280x1024 75hz setup. My Inventory Bags/Boxes are always in their right place. The House Vault Slot 1 Bag/Box moves towards the right side of the screen and lower (not ALL the way to the right). Shared Bank slots will drop about 25 pixels or so down on the 3rd and 4th... 1st and 2nd drop down around 10 pixels. On the 8 regular bank slots, they all drop down in perfect sync about 15 pixels.
This... is driving me insane. Being a perfectionist like yourself, I can't handle it. I'm going to snap, my brain is going to explode and my mouse is going to wear out, hehe. Any ideas, suggestions, comforting let-downs?

chat problem
Small problem - When hitting enter to type out text I am typing over the last line of text since my text goes all the way down to the bottom of the screen unless I put my curser over the text box and then the text moves up and the enter text line is there.
Is there any way to make it so i'm not typing over the last line??

Binton, unfortunately I don't have any way to test the event scroll as my guild has very few events listed. When/If I can test this, I'll see about fixing it.
About bag positions... EQ likes to save window locations based on whatever window edge is nearest a screen edge. Stay-put feature is supposed to correct this but appears to be somewhat sporatic. Since the included bag files (and virtually every bag mod on this site) changes the bag window size after its opened, bags that are positioned lower or right of screen center may shift.
What's happening here is that EQ can save the bag possition as right edge 100 pixels from right of screen. The bag is say 100 pixel wide when you log out, so the left edge is 200 pixels from right of screen.
Here's where the shift happens...
When you log in, the bag hasn't been shrunk yet so its width is say 200 pixels. It places the right edge 100 pixels from right edge of screen (where it was when you logged). The left edge is 300 pixels from right of screen. Scripts then shrink the bag to 100 pixels wide. Since resizes are always relative to top left corner, this pulls the right side of the bag away from the screen edge, resulting in a 100 pixel shift to the left.
To make things worse, EQ does some odd things in an attempt to avoid window overlap and windows being off screen. Bags that appear fully on-screen when you log out might be partially off-screen when you log in prior to being resized. I suspect EQ uses the max 36 slot bag size when deciding if a bag would be partially off screen. If it would be partially off screen, EQ may move the bag to whatever it thinks is the next available spot of free screen space.
And then there's the save bug.
All of these things make it very difficult to fix the shifting bag problem. I've done everything I can think of with scripting and in-game placement and still have 1 or 2 bags on each toon that move. Most stay where I put them, but in short, there's not much else I can do about this. If its really annoying you, I suggest using the default bag window.

Ahhh, gotcha gotcha. That is a very nicely detailed explanation and helps me decide on where to put the bags. And I'm not using the default bulky and very non-matching your theme bags, hehe. Your bags rock!
Might move towards the upper left or somewhere on the screen, but am trying to avoid overlapping my other bags because then I can't easily move things around, hehe.
Maybe we can convince Sony to adjust just how they save Bag Locations. :-)

Here's a link to the StayPut thread which includes a note about removing the MaximumSize and MinimumSize values from the main page. I'm gonna try this to see if it resolves the issue on my end.
Edit: Removing MaximumSize and MinimumSize from the main page object of the bag files does seams to have helped and at least doesn't cause any new problems, so I'm going to include this tweak with the next rev. I do still have some issues with bags not saving, but I think this is due to the SOE save bug. Nothing appears to be "creeping" after this tweak.

Hello Zonk,
I have a question. Is it possible to see the pet health (and mana) in the group window (not my pet - I don't have any but the group member's pet) ?
I don't know why, but there is no UI groupmemmber that shows the pet health under his master. As I can heal pet it will be a MEGA plus to see it. Maybe the game doesn't offer that option (EQ1 you could).

As I am using special characters (ie. é à ï) and it is not working with the trader's window can I get rid of your font_file and use the original 'font' file and size ? Will it still work with your UI ? Or any suggestion ?

Euro Font display can be fixed by replacing FontArial14T.xml with a copy of Font_Euro_Arial14.xml. Open that copy and change
Name="Arial"
to
Name="FontArial14T"
This however will not fix the Find It function. For some reason text passed by the Find It script to the Market window gets messed up even with the above fix in place.
Sorry, not possible to see other player's pet health.
