Default Not seeing POIs in Sinking sands

Can't see the POIs in Sinking sands. I see them find on the website but not in-game.

Tried to delete all the maps directory and repatch. Didn't work.

Same here, its something that needs to be fixed on our end. Once I'm not as busy keeping the servers alive I'll look into it.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a local problem. Releived to see it's not me.

I too am having the same problem and I'm wondering if the following is the reason:

In my UI\EQMap\images\maps folder the Sinking Sands map is filename:

map_exp01_sinking_sands

In my UI\EQmap\eq2map folder (the one with the POI's):

icons_exp01_rgn_sinking_sands

I'm wondering if this small difference in nomenclature is causing the problem.

In game, I see the main map fine, just no POIs.

Thank you.

The name of the .dds map file and the internal name of the zone need not match. You can see in the core_mapstyles.xml file that the image name is correctly indicated.

The problem is most likely with the icons_ file for the zone.

SOE changed the maps to hardcoded so the fog of war shows up. I have to change something in the core_process xml. I'll get to it asap. In the mean time explore!
