Default Fetish UI without the map notes?

I'm using the Fetish complete whatever mod, and I love it. However, I'm not fond of the map note things all over the screen. I'm not sure exactly what mod adds them, whether it's Fetish or EQ2Map, but when I uninstalled EQ2Map it didn't get rid of them (I also just reloaded UI, maybe I need to restart the game entirely?)

Anyone know how I can disable the notes? Problem with dropping EQ2Map is I like the dungeon maps that aren't regularly part of the default maps, but the notes in my opinion make it way too easy and I'd rather explore and search than scan through 100 notes (my self control also sucks so I often scan instead of explore).

Clicky! I think that's what you're looking for. Not an ultimate solution, but it's as close as we've got.

If you don't want any of the features offered by EQ2MAPS or the plugins I've added (including the custom maps) simpley delete eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml from your Fetish directory. The default map window will load instead.

If you want to keep the custom maps but permanently disable all the extra icons and dots, open eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml in notepad. Search for and delete the following lines of code:

<include>eq2map/core_overlay.xml</include>
<include>eq2map/core_underlay.xml</include>

Alternately, you may locate those included files, open them in notepad and delete their contents (saving them as blank documents).

Haven't tested this, so I'm not possitive it wont cause issues with scripts that expect the deleted objects. Also note running the EQ2MAPs updater will restore these files to their usual EQ2MAPs state.

The custom maps for dungeons and other various areas that were previously unmapped are awesome.

I'll do the things you suggested, and keep the page bookmarked for when I run EQ2Map. Thanks much!

By the way your mod rules and I love it.
