Talking How to change the text style?

I'm a very newbie in the world of EQ2 and UI.
I want to change the text style, but I don't have any idea about how to do that and where to start.
Could anyone help me?

First, download QuickArial:

http://www.eq2interface.com/download...fo.php?id=3230

This changes all the fonts to Arial, as well as moving them into one file so it's easier to change them all at once.

To customize from there, simply change the PointSize value to increase/decrease size for a given font set, and change the FontName value to any Windows system font if you want something besides Arial.

IS eq2 can only load the sub-file-name as .fon, such like atrial.fon?
I change all the FontName="Arial" to FontName="avov"(my font, avov.ttf), but it can't be show on EQ2.
is there any thing wrong?

Hmm.

Copy the avov.ttf file to UI/Fonts, then add the following to each line using the new font:

PrivateFontPath="UI/Fonts/avov.TTF"

That should make it show.

Hum...
I have tried it, but it can;t work.
I think the problem is not the way to change font type, The chinese version can't show any other font type but the one EQ2east assigned.
Thx for ur conducting.

Hello Yashi.

Are you are trying to mod EQII East? There aren't any extra font replacement restrictions so I'm confident we'll be able to figure out how to get the font of your choice to display. Try posting the font xml you are using.

There is a minor secret to fonts for the non-English versions of EQII:

In the Fonts folder/namespace, a font named font_bob will be replace with font_euro_bob, font_japan_bob, font_korean_bob, font_simplifiedchinese_bob, or font_traditionalChinese_bob depending on your locale. The font has to have "font_" at the beginning. This only happens in the game and not UIBuiler.
