Default Help with Chat Windows plz..

Here is what I have going on, when I start EQ2 I open several chat windows.

1 – For Combat Spam
2 – For Tells, System Messages, and NPC Chatter
3 – For Guild and Group Chat
4 – Raid

The problem is that when I log out of game (Log to Character Select) and log back online my chat windows are no longer there and I have to reset them up each time I log in. I have been through my options several times, deleted my server_toon_uisettings.ini files so that they are fresh, but with no effect. My other UI settings are being saved it is only my chat windows. I am at a loss… I am sure that it may be something easy and simple that I am overlooking in game options or the such, and by all means please make me feel like a dumb @$$ as long as you can help fix my problem .

Thanks for your time and input, I did look at the post below and I am still at a loss..

I found out the error and pasted an INI file to a response in the Help Forum about this. I'll attach it here for you to obtain. It's my character's INI file for 1280x1024 resolution but it WILL work, you can modify and adjust all your windows, etc... it has 3 windows, but you should be able to add a 4th without a problem.

The problem bug is due to the way SoE is saving their 'new' INI files. This is an older one, but still saves fine, and has worked for more than 40 other players so far to resolve this issue, which I had for a long, long time.

Once you use this INI, you'll need to replace 'SERVER' with your server name and 'CHARNAME' with your character's name. You already have this file in your main EverQuest II directory, just look at it, delete it, and use this attached one.
Attached Files
File Type: zip SERVER_CHARNAME_eq2_uisettings.zip (2.0 KB, 118 views)
