Please Help Please!!

guys..i have been fighting for a week not sence last wed's update to fix this issue i cant find out what to do ... the issue is when i zone, my char gets booted back to char selection screen i gotta shut down EQ2 , delete my cache,logincache, UI folder, all INI folders...just to hope it works for another zone...i found this message i was told everyone has it in their folder

my system has a AMD3200+ , Nvidia Nforce4 SLI botherboard, Nvidia 5500FX 256ram Video drive, im running thread a router/modemn both nortans/Nvidias Nforce firewall are both disabled.

things i have already tried,
deleting all ini,cache,ui folders
scanned HD for errors
defraged
change the eq2ui_listboxrow_template2.xml file to remove the #2 (this seemed to work for estimated 10 mins til auto save happen)
i have no idea what the problem is... i need help someone please !

i just bought this game the friday before last wed, and its alraedy screwed.. thanks in advance for anyones help (im able to do things on the comp but im not 100% computer geneus please help )

Did you delete even the default UI folder? You could try this and it will just redownload the files when you run the auto updater. Open the eq2i.ini (configuration settings) file with notepad and just make sure it lists the default as the UI it will load. You can actually delete most of the files/folders that eq2 uses and the updater will just reload what it needs. Its like getting a digital download. I had to do this once when I updated to KOS and things didn't work right. I couldn't even reload KOS off my own disks so I just deleted everything and let the updater do all the reloading. Took awhile but it does work.
Deleting your settings file will set everything back to the defaults as well so thats not a bad idea to do that too just to cover all bases. The listbox did need an update due to recent updates but if you load the default it should be updated in that. In reading your post it does sound like you have already tried deleting all the UI files to no avail. If not then try it and let the updater reload. Don't use your disks. From what you have posted it sounds as if there is a problem with one of the xml files.

Just another note to help us figure this one out. Delete your UI text error file before running the next time. If you still get booted then open this file and copy and paste the contents here in this forum so we can all see exactly what error you are getting.

see this is odd..my g/f who lives at a different house. used my discs to download her game..and her's works great...not the discs..i have done a 100% full re-install, i have deleted all INI/UI files. (figured also the full re-install should help) i was told by someone that my router/modem might be blocking something altho from when i called the cable company its not blocking any ports according to them i will have to inquire about this again as soon as i get home. im not on a wireless router im hardwired into the modem/router (its the netgear combo one doubles as a wireless/wired router and a modem got it from the cable company) i will altho if the cable company re-assures me im not connected to any firewall i will delete everything i was told that instead of un-installing try "right click delete" and then re-install ? sounds...wierd but if it works i dunno i figured thats the same deal as un-install so stressed over this issue

i run WoW, DDO fine but this happen right after their last patch its odd. i was also reading on this forum and Lady1 states to delete the #2 on the file eq2ui_listboxrow_template2.XML and that did seem to work for 10 mins till the autosave...which then again if i delete cache/logincache ect. it works til autosave as well.
altho i will try again what you guy suggested. i hope it works thanks! any other suggestions is well welcomed im so ..frustrated with this

but do you have the Windows built-in firewall up and running?

LOL i wish it was just that simple...

no windows firewall my Nforce firewall is down (comes with the Nvidia Nforce4 SLI motherboard) and nortons is completely disabled. i heard something bout harvesting tools and un-equipting them..will try this but i never bought any so i dunno ?
