Am I confused or is the UIBuilder?

I just started playing with the UIBuilder and read the tutorial that was posted (doc file download) and it makes a lot of sense. I have been able to do some things but I REALLY want to make some changes on the create tradeskill window. Well I cant find the template for it, the initial screen is there but when I click on ok (with play on) it just blinks at me. Even if I click on things in the tree on the left it doesnt work.

As the title says, am I confused and there is no template for that window or is it hiding on me?

Turn off play and make sure highlight is selected. Then any winow you select in the tree should be highlighted in red, unless its a style of sorts.

I should be a little clearer now that its not the middle of the night.

When you click on the tab at the top of the preview pane for the tradeskills there is a picture of the main tradeskill window. On windows like the persona window when I do the same thing I can get to the sub-windows of that window, like details and factions, then I can adjust things as I see fit. Well on the tradeskill window it doesnt go to the create screen at all. I would love to make some changes to that window but it is really hard doing so in ghost view

Also I was playing around with a player window that I had downloaded (depechemods) and after saving it and getting in the game a lot of things were in different spots. Even after spending a lot of time getting things in the exact same spot (tradeskill and adv exp for one).

Any ideas on the tradeskill window? Thats the one I'd really like to change but cant.

You are looking at it wrong i'm afraid. You can't really use the run mode because you can't actually DO anything in the UI builder like that. Some actions you can perform through run like changing tabs, but what you are asking it to do is actually run game code which you can't do.

Turn off run.

What you need to do is simply hide and unhide the various sub windows you want to work on. Do this:

1) Go to the Tradeskills tab in the UIBuilder
2) Expand the tradeskill window
3) By default I think the CREATE window is visible, so left click on that in the expanded tree
4) At the bottom of the window just above the properties is an EYE icon. Click that to hide that subwindow.
5) In the tree you see things like Recipes, RecpieFilter, Prepare, Create -- those are all the sub windows you are looking for. Click the EYE on each on whichever you want to see to work on it.

You also have to be carefull when using the run mode. If the controle you testing say a button and you are having it change from con 0 to con 1 and you press the button to test it or what not. Being the UIBuilder has no idea what con is, it will think its a proberty and set it. So now your controle has a new property called con and it will equal 1. So now when u load up the UI it will change the con to 1.. You will have to go back and delete that property from the controle to fix it.
