UI Scaling Question

Hello,

I've looked around a bit here and on the Official EQ2 forums, but haven't seen an answer to this question, so here it goes:

Is there an (easy) way, or a mod, that allows you to just scale the hotbar buttons in the standard UI? It seems that they are overly-large even when running in 1280x1024.

I know that some UI's like Fetish have the hotbar buttons resized to ~75%, which is nice, but I'd just like to leave the default UI installed for the most part and just scale things down a bit.

I'm not able to offer you a easy way to scale these hotbars. However the UIbuilder is a complex way to modify them. I have tried many times to use that program but it has never turned out right. Guess I'm just not understanding all the changes that need to be made. I always wondered why no one made a UI that just resized the defualt UI. That would be neat but I can also imagine the updates needed to keep it current. Anyhoo the UIbuilder program is in you EQ2 main folder all zipped up just unzip to a folder and boom... Well not boom you'll have to read the destructions.. Hope I help a little. Now I'm off to pratice what I preach... "grumbles I hate reading instructions"

Thanks for the info. I didnt know the UI Builder existed, that sounds like something I'll have to check out.

After more and more poking around, I did notice that the Fetish author released the 'parts' of fetish, as mini-mods. One of those is the hotkey bars that are scalable. This seems to be the closest thing to what I'm looking for. Basically it just replaces your std hotkeys with the fetish-sized ones.

I still wish the std UI has a scale option. Who knows, maybe they'll add this in the near future?

Yeah ole Zonx did a fantastic job with Fetish. But I'm thinking his pieces (for the most part) are not up to date. Meaning you'll need to grab some files from his up-tp-date Total UI's.. (Fetish Nightfall, Fetish Classic). I use Nightfall as it is, best UI imho. Oh and I think the hotbars are not resizable just configurable. Meaning each Icon size will remain the same, 75% of the defualt. Anyhoo if you see that the UIbuilder is to your liking and you understand it drop me a line and tell me what I'm doing wrong LOL.
