Some basic questions about UI

I used to use profitui but got a new computer about the time when someone stopped updating it so I put fetish on my new computer.

My questions are:

Is profitui being updated/maintained now. If so, how do you download it?

Can you combine parts of different ui's?

For instance, there are somethings I like better in one and some things I like better in another. Can I pick and choose?

One thing that happened that I really don't like is that while when I used profitui and eq2map updater, I had nice maps I could see everything on.

With fetish + eq2map updater, when I open the big map its solid black with colored dots. No matter how much I explore an area, it stays that way. Is it supposed to be that way? Did I do something wrong?

Last I heard, someone had stepped up to update it. You can still download it right from the downloads section of this website

Yes. It may require editing a few files, but for the most part you should be able to mix and match things. Stand-alone pieces tend to be simpler to mix and match than full sets.

Yes, you must have done something wrong. Fetish Nightfall works fine with the EQ2MAP updater. Reinstall fetish nightfall and then run the updater again. If you used one of the default Fetish uisettings files that may also be the problem, see this thread. In particular, you may need to delete a line from your uisettings file; instructions here.
