Question Changing Window Frame Colours

Hi Guys!

Amazing custom interfaces I've found on here! I'm truly impressed! But I was wondering if it was possible to change the colour of the frames? I've had a look, but I just can't see how to do this. Do you have to download a mod for a colour change or something like that? The reason I ask, is because I've seen a screenshot of someone with purple frames, and it looked really nice.

Any help would be hugely appreciated! Thank you very much in advance!

You should be able to find all the pics in the UI in the DDS image files. You can view them with IrfanView (get plugins, too)

and edit them with Adobe Photoshop with the Nvidia DDS plugin. Save as DX1

Thank you for replying so quickly! I'll give that a try later on tonight! It's not too hard a thing is it? I'm not great with the ins and outs of computers...was worried I wouldn't be able to get the mods working!

Well, I'm perhaps not as bad as I make out, but you know what I mean

Thanks again!

I've taken your advice, and installed all the relevant plugins and what not, but it seems very complicated to change the colour of the DDS images. I'm not great at photoshop...is there an easy way to alter the colours from one shade to another (with each shade matching the relevant "main" colour, if that makes sense)? I'm assuming there is...do you have, by any chance, a link to the info?

Thanks again!

what has worked best for me is to use the select rectangle to pick out the objects that you don't want the color tho change on then right click and cut to new layer once moved select the background layer only then go to --->image --->adjust --->hue/saturation slide levers till you get desiered color note the numbers then merge all layers and save DX1 repeat for all DDS file you wish to change entering the numbers so you get consistant color

Okay, I tried this, and was able to adjust the images to just how I want (it worked a treat, thanks!!!). The problem is that when loading up EQ2, the files seemed to have now been restored to how they originally were...

I'm assuming there is a way around this, but I have no idea what it would be! Do you, or any one else, happen to know by any chance?

Thanks once again for all your help!

Phew! Great, after a long time I managed to get all my changes done! Although I did have some problems with there being grey borders surrounding some of my frames, while others were okay. I think I might just leave it for the now! Or at least go back to doing it stage at a time, so I can see which DDS files cause the grey borders to appear...as I'm sure if it doesn't happen with some of the frames, then it shouldn't happen with any of them...so I must have messed one up or something.

Thanks for your help! Great stuff!
