Custom UI not working for reasons beyond me...(not a novice)

Ok, so I have not played EQ2 in a year or so, maybe less. I recently resubscribed on my new machine and installed a fresh version of EQ2, then fully patched it. I am running Vista32 with an Intel 6600 and 8800GTS. After playing a few days I remembered how much I loathed the UI. SO first things first I made my INI, located at Program Files/Sony/EverQuest II/eq2.ini, and it's not eq2.txt, or eq2.ini.txt in case you are wondering. The lines of my INI read as follows:

cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/
r_aa_blit 1 (For antialiasing)

Also tried the reverse, as some users had luck with that, but not I:

cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP

As you can see, the lines in my INI were created by the auto-updating EQ2Map mod, which indicates that all files and folders are ok and patched with the latest maps etc...etc... First of all, the map mod is not working in game, which leaves me wondering how that would happen if I did not touch anything other than showing the mod where my "EverQuest 2.exe" was, which it found, no problem. After this didn't work, I tried other mods, installing their files into UI/EQ2MAP folder. None of them worked either. So I tried /loadui, and one of my mods showed up there, which leads me to believe they are in the right place (though it wouldn't load). So I deleted the INI and typed in everything myself, renamed the UI folder, and bypassed EQ2Map when starting the client, still to no avail.

I have full admin control on this account (the only account on the machine) and after it did not work the first time, I even went back and changed the file permissions to ALL users and to FULL control, but that changed nothing. I tried running it "As Administrator," no luck there. I even reinstalled the game, still nothing. I am very confused as to why this game hates me so much, and please if there is anything you may know of that I can try I would be happy to listen. Thank you for your time.
