Spells from vendors

Is there a mod in eq2 which puts a "already known" caption on spells at vendors so you are not cross checking your known spells against what is for sale ?

No, I'm pretty sure this isn't possible with a UI mod. If you use comparison tooltips though, you can compare the spell for sale with the spell that you already know. Look under Options - User Interface - Tooltips. I use the option where the comparison tooltip pops up when you hold down control.

I hope that's what you're looking for.

No but you can have a tool tip popup that compares the vendors spell with your scribed spell. (If no popup then no scribed spell...)

But to be honest they don't have all the higher level spells so I compare with Ogaming (which is also missing spells unfortunately).
I also crossreference those with doing a search on the broker for class specific spells.

There's another site that is much more complete but I don't have the link handy atm.
I'll try to post a followup with it when I have a chance.

Thanks guys, I thank you for the thought on the spell comparison, but I immediately thought "why didn't they just put a simple note "already known"...would have been much simpler as I find myself spending too much time comparing spells that i already have.

I just use the tooltip/popup for comparison.

If one pops up, I know I have it and I can see its quality.

If nothing pops up, I know I don't have that spell.

And yeah, spell lists seem to be poorly updated in most places, sadly =/

Agreed on the spell lists...

I'm slowly working to update our guild site with a complete list of each classes abilities here: (It's under the class sections which you should be able to see without signing up)

I'll try and get them cleaned up a bit so we can start taking update suggestions and get them updated for each class.
