Mook skin for EQ2MAP

This is a plug-in skin for the EQ2MAP window designed to cut all the deadspace out of the window so you can better see what you're doing with the window open.

Installation instructions:

You must first have the March 02 or later version of The EQ2MAP Main download installed and verified working in order to use this mod. Once this is complete, simply copy the window_****.xml files from this download and place them in the eq2map subfolder of your custom UI folder. ([Eq2 directory]/UI/MyMod/eq2map) If you don't see the eq2map subfolder in your custom UI folder, then reinstall EQ2MAP.

Special thanks to Quib and the rest of the EQ2MAP team for modularizing the project so that I can put my skin on the best mod in town.

First let me thank you and all the other interface writers on this site for doing such a wonderful job.

I have a simple question. Quib wrote a mod that closes the map window upon hitting ESC. is it possible to have it so when ESC is hit it toggles your min/max on your map skin? ( instead of closing it )

Yes. I'm going to instruct you on how to add this modification yourself.

Open the Mook skin's eq2map/window_titlebar.xml file with Notepad.

Search for

<Button LocalTooltip="Minimize"

replace with

<Button IsCancelButton="true" LocalTooltip="Minimize"

And save the file.

Let me know if this doesn't work for you.

deathbane27 does the updater "behave" and not overwrite any of the files this skin uses or does it overwrite a file it should only be checking if it exists? let me know so i can fix any files its messing up(if it is messing any up).

Edit: Yes, the updater leaves this alone as expected.

lol the mod you had me add worked perfectly for min and max using escape...... untill

i downloaded your reacent mod that includes the mini window.

after installing and testing your mod, I went back and put Ger's close on excape mod in the eq2map dir, i then went to the window_titlebar.xml and made the changed you gave me last time, but it still doesnt work. any help would be appreciated.

( also, is there any way to stop the window from floating? all my other objects stay where placed, cept this one)

I had the MookUI skin for EQ2MAP (w/ integrated Talyns' Minimap) addon for EQ2 map and with the latest patch to update the new skin it will not work. I do not care about the skin really I do like the updated one but I can't live without the mini map. Please help and thanks so much for all your hard work.

Someone who is still playing will have to update the plugin for the new version, I guess. Watch for patches/addons on both my skin, Talyns' minimap, and the main download.

Is it possible to add a resizable minimap?

Or is it much more possible to reduce the size of the minimap frame of 1 inch width and height?
