White chat boxes =/

I just downloaded and installed PervV8 (not sure of exact name) and am having a problem. My chat boxes and target boxes have a white background making it hard to read them. Dumb question I am certain, but how do I make the background black so I can see my chat?

Is PervV8 new or old? (I've never heard of it).

Most likely its not compatible with EOF.

In fact looking at the altered chat xml files it appears the majority of changes to them are to do with background opacity/color.
