But you can store macros on your disk in various ways. For example, they will be saved when using /savehotkeys. I would recommend however to have your macro use /dofilecommands <filename>. Just place the macro proper into the file called <filename> and you can easiy edit it outside of the game or share it between alts. The added benefit is that those macros can be much longer than what the ingame editor allows.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.
