It's a good idea, but requires a lot of work. Sure you can use other's work and mold it to your liking, just remember to credit those who deserve it.
Personally I use ogaming and eq2.allakahzam. I've never really had any trouble getting done what needed to be. How aweful would it be if we acctually to figure stuff out on our own though, eh?
