Deleting Icon Labels on Hotkey
1 Attachment(s)
Looing at a newly uploaded hotkey mod by Bramwell: http://eq2interface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=4376
To rid the nasty labels I will show the net result of doing so in th epic attached. Labels = Icon Charges as well and unless you are ok with no charge counter display, then simple deletion of the icon text is not a viable option. |
Nice catch. Although it's still a small price to pay to get rid of the rest of the annoying text. At least until someone finds a workaround.
|
Uhm... you guys all know that all you have to do to remove the annoying hotbar text is to just unset the keys in Controls section of the Options. Once you do that, the numbers you unset dissappear, and keep all other text such as poisons, etc...
|
Thank you for this info, I never even thought of doing that!
|
Thanks Hinton, I did not know that.
BTW, are you planning an update to your Guild Window mod by any chance? It still works as is but I believe that it might be missing some new events or something minor like that. |
But if you unset the keys, the keyboard combos wont actually activate the hotkeys.
I have an idea for a work around I'm gonna try when I get around to it ;) |
Yes. Now that I've actually looked in the options it dawned on me that I want the keys still bound to the hotbar I just don't want the text on the hotbar.
Zonx, If you figure this out could you please let us know of how to implement the code into an existing hotbar mod as the Mortis Hotbar mod is perfect except for this one aspect. |
Yep, if it works I'll post the code. If it doesn't I'll tell you all what not to waste time trying ;)
|
but what if we lived well and fine with out either of the labels on the hot bars and dont want them showing wether it is the item hotkey or the charges on teh item, what do we need to change?
|
Go into your custom ui folder and edit the eq2ui_mainhud_hotkey.xml by removing the "Font=" portion of the IconBank section.
|
Sweet thanks
