Login rejected: Client's version does not match the server's.
 

Hello,

My problem is that when I try to launch ProfitUI Reborn I receive this error message:

"Login rejected: The client's version does not match the server's. Please re-run the patcher."

So, up until the recent Eq2 server maintenance, I used the normal blue EQ2 icon to launch my game, which had ProfitUI enabled. Now, after the server maintenance it also gives the same error message as the ProfitUI Reborn.

I have no idea where this patcher is that I am to re-run. Could someone help me out please.

this has nothing to do with Profit - you need to patch your game, if you arent getting the little box that pops up after you click the icon, (thats the patcher) you might try using the Station Launcher instead, you can find it - Here -

The patcher is either the Station Launcher or the EverQuest2.exe program in your EQ2 installation directory. You're probably running the EQ2.exe program, which is the game client itself. Make a shortcut to EverQuest2.exe or set the EQ2Map or ProfitUI updaters to point to that as the program to run and you should be OK.

you might want to reverse that. Everquest2.exe is the client. EQ2.exe is the old patcher. I'll bet 5k plat I'm right :P

Thank you all for your responses. My issue has been resolved. I run Windows 7, and have a Programe Files Folder and Programe Files (x86) Folder in my Directory. Both Program File Folders have Sony and Everquest2 Folders and neither EverQuest2.exe worked, hence nor did my ProfitUI and EQ2Map Updater.

I do however, have the streamer EverQuestII icon on my desktop that does work, but still without ProfitUI. I checked the pathing, and low and behold a Folder named ProgramData appears, but didn't show in my Directory. So, after using the Control Panel to show hidden files and folders , I was then able to follow the pathing and point my ProfitUI to that EverQuest2.exe, which was the working one, and now all works perfectly.

Can't help with the 5k plat, but I feel as though I've won a million.
