SageUI Map Icons

Description
I liked Milquetowst's Group Icons, the standar X map markers, and Gers standard Alternate POI's. Unfortunately I didnt like either of them completely so I combined them together and made this file. Thanks goes to both for their previous work. I always have a hard time seeing which way I am facing so I added another blue arrow marker to the player icon to help out. I changed the X-Marker to yellow as well so it would not conflict with the POI marker. If you like this then check out my full version UI at:
EQ2 Interface SageUI Link
or
SageUI Direct Link

The later link has the option of update notification if you enter your email address.
To install just extract file into your custom UI folder (i.e. SageUI). Accept when prompted to overwrite. If you do not want the blue internal directional arrow in the player icon or a thinner one, please see add-ons. If you would like larger icons then download Ger's add-on as it will work with these icons as well. After some research and a little tinkering I found I would be basically mimicking what he has already done so here's the download link to Ger's 12x12 display:
Ger's 12x12 POI Display
Unzipped file into your custom UI folder as you would normally with Ger's POI's. Enjoy!

Posted as an Add-on and set up extraction file to make it easier to extract into proper folder for those unfamilar with UI modding. Thank you very much for this Mantian.

Thank you so much for this update, it's exactly what I was looking for! I myself use 1920x1200 resolution... so the icons could be a wee bit bigger, but I'm ok with their size and am in no hurry to have anything else. You rock!

Suggestions Reply

Quote:
Would it be possible to increase the size in anyway?
Should be no problem. I will look into this weekend and post a add-on for you. I was actually thinking of doing so anyways since I too run at a higher resolution and would like larger icons as well. Good suggestion so I will definately do for you.

Is there a way to remove the blue in the arrow for your player and maybe make that arrow not so wide?
Will do also. I figured some might like the blue arrow to help see direction and some may not. For those that would like a thinner arrow with no blue arrow enclosed I will post an add-on as well. I should be able to do tonight or tomorrow so check back for the add-ons.

Glad everyone likes these icons. If you have any other suggestions please post them. I will accomodate all that I can. Have a great Easter everyone!

Thank you for the update. This is an excellent mod and we appreciate your hard work.

One suggestion if at all possible. I'm running the game on two systems with higher resolutions (1280x1024 and 1280x960) so the icons are just a bit too small to look like anything other than dots, mostly. Would it be possible to increase the size in anyway? There was another mod that used these types of icons and with it there were 3 alternative size add-ons. Would you consider making such add-ons for different resolution settings?

Thanks again for everything.

This is the best set of icons ever! Thank you so much for them! Is there a way to remove the blue in the arrow for your player and maybe make that arrow not so wide? I can't seem to load this graphics file in Photoshop. I'm not so good at those things.

Everything is all set guys. Thanks for being patient and for those that downloaded the links file I hope you share what you have found. Anyone that would still like it can download it as well as quite a few great EQ2 extras at:
SageUI Download Page

My full UI can be downloaded there as well as here:

Thank you for pointing that out. I am aware of it and will be uploading a new file soon. Until then I would recommend not downloading unless you like the block style. This was my first POI mod and I didn't realize the alpha file was not properly set up.
