You can open the threat window with Ctrl+T. If it won't stay open between encounters, go to Options (Alt+O) then press User Interface on the left-hand side, then Game Windows on the right-hand side, then check "Always show threat window." If you don't see that checkbox under Game Windows, press the small "Advanced" button at the top of the Options window. Target something to show the threat window if it still is not showing up after checking the box.

The autoattack bars will be active by default, but they only appear when you are in combat. To change autoattack bar settings, move your mouse into the upper left-hand corner of the threat window and click the blue gem that appears. If you decide you want to use the default autoattack bars instead, the checkbox is in the same area of the Game Options window as above.

Changing depot consumption/crafting permissions

I love DarqUI, and have used it now for a couple of years.

I've been unable to change this permission on depots for months, as the drop-down menu does not drop down. Deposit and Withdrawal menus drop down correctly and can be changed. I just discovered today that DarqUI appears to be the culprit, as I have no trouble changing the consumption/crafting permissions with the standard UI. (I switched back to Darq as soon as I determined this - I do NOT want to use the standard UI.)

I believe I used to be able to change this permission while using DarqUI, and I would like to be able to do so again... please help!

DarqUI does not modify the depot window so there is something else going on. You are using the game default depot when you use DarqUI. Long ago when the depots first came out there was indeed a problem with the permissions tab where the text labels on the left were covering up the dropdowns on the right, but that was fixed years ago. Make sure you don't somehow have eq2ui_inventory_container.xml in your custom UI folder.

Thank you... this was also just pointed out to me in the game forums. I do have eq2ui_inventory_container.xml in my custom UI folder, so I am removing it right now and will check again to see if I am able to change permissions.

Edit: Yes! Removing this file fixed the problem. Many, many thanks, Darqwood! And thanks also for DarqUI... it makes EQ2 SO much easier to play!

Neverlands, if you will please send any of the failing inventory logs to darqwood at hotmail dot com. I'm assuming the logs were created after the server consolidation to Thurgadin and your computer uses DE time/date formats.

Could not download

I am having errors installing. Detect 123 files to download but i am getting the error "could not download" 123 times. I tried the alternative mode to download without luck.

I am using EQ2 on steam windows 10 with antivirus and malware disabled.

Really i dont know what is going wrong and dont know how to do this manually. Where are the files?

First thing I would try is close the utility, reopen it as administrator, and try getting updates again. If that does not work, go to the Files page of the utility and click "Open in File Explorer." If it opens to a folder called DarqUI_v3, then try to create a new file in the folder. (Right-click a blank area and choose New >> Text Document.) I'm not sure how Steam sets things up, but if you can't create a file manually in the folder, due to read-only permissions for example, then the utility won't be able to download to it either.

i am using it as administrator and have permissions to write. My friends had not any problem installing it and they have EQ2 steam too.

What about with router ports? It seems a connectivity problem.

If the utility is telling you how many files you need, you definitely have connectivity. The count and the files are delivered the same way. There is a file called utilitylog.txt in your DarqUI_v3 folder. If you will zip and send that to darqwood at hotmail dot com (don't post it here), I'll see if I can figure out what's going on.

MalwareBytes Detection

My MalwareBytes popped up a detection this morning when I ran the DarqUI updater. I assume this is a false positive? Has this happened to anyone else? It's never triggered a detection before today.
