How do I get rid of the settings button on the experience bar? A lot of times I go for the housing button and hit that instead, and it's very annoying.

Hey there. Just switched over to the Unified version from the Live version. LOVE IT! Being able to make changes on the fly is wonderful! The only issue that I am having is with the browser. When I click any of the links to open a site....say from within the quest journal, the game crashes after about a minute or so. I load the site and start reading, and then BOOM! No warning and no errors. Just crashed to desktop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As always, thanks for any reply!

Open eq2ui_mainhud_experience.xml in Notepad and search for Name="WindowManager". Change it to Name="WindowManagerX".

There is not much I can do about performance inside the awesomium browser client. If you close the window by using the X button, the website stays running in the background even though it's not visible. But there is a choice on the Tools menu (gear icon) to "Clear all tabs and close" which will end the browser process in Windows' task list. Closing the window this way may help with the crashes.

There is also a browser cache setting in the Options (Alt+O) window. You might try turning that on and setting the cache size to a large value.

Only when a new version of the window is published. Until then the updater won't notice the change.

Added the cache option, which was not even enabled by default, and set it to 1 Gig. I am also closing it via the method you suggested. No crashes yet. I will let you know if it the issue has been resolved. It may help other folks.

Is Possible to hide the "auto-sort" for the bag in the character windows? is... a very, very, very annoying function.. I hope the dev will delete it, lol.

Not my favorite feature either. It works great if you set up your bag options, but I don't have that much patience. I added a yes/no choice for sorting your bags on the Character window. Download the new file and see if you like it better. If you don't want the evil Sort button to work at all, open eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml and do a search for the line containing the word "BagSort". On that line add the blue text:

This won't delete the button, but it can't be clicked. You can type /sort_bags name if you ever want to sort your bags manually.

Hello all,

I have run into a snap downloading the latest updates. I continually see:

Preparing to download 10 files using alternate method
Downloading \darqui_inventory_keys.xml... > > > > > could not download
Downloading Help\ChatLogs.html... > > > > > could not download
Downloading Help\Inventory.html... > > > > > could not download

For all the latest files. I have tried the Standard and Alternate Methods and no luck. The eq2 maps downloads and updated without any issue, it is only the main files.

Any thoughts?

Hiza, check your firewall. The server is up and delivering files, and I don't see any messages about recent downtime.

I recently came back to the game and switched from profit. I am really liking your ui, it's really nice. I spent time getting everything set just the way I want it on my main character. My question is how do I use that exact ui layout on another one of my characters?
