I like the simplicity of the new interface. Flows more smoothly during initial setup and the autosave feature makes it feel a lot more friendly to use.

Will the minimize to task tray function be back?

Thanks for your comments, Eandur. The plan is to replace the taskbar auto-check icon with a more modern live tile Windows app that will do the daily update check.

I have Asperger syndrome and is an altoholic in the game, so i need the ui to look exactly the same for every character i have when i switch around them, otherwise i go bonkers.
So how do i setup everything on a character and gets the exact same look/placement on all my alts, cause there was only in some places in the settings menu the text mentioned it was changed for every character.
I liked previously when i used profit that i simply loaded the uisettings-file, but here there's more to play around with.
Hope you don't mind me ranting on here, cause i really want to enjoy the game with your ui awesomeness.

Downloaded the installer this morning wanting to try out a new UI, however whenever I run it nothing happens and it freezes whatever folder I have file in. I checked and downloaded and do have .net 4 installed, but I am not getting any error message to actually see the problem.

I am on windows 10 if that matters, and I have tried running in compatibility mode with 7 and 8.

The app was developed on Windows 10 using .net 4 so you don't need any compatibility settings. Drop the utility into the \EverQuest II\UI\ folder since it checks there first for a valid game installation. You can also try running as administrator.

To give all your characters the same window placement, position all of the windows to your liking on one character. Then log in to each of the other characters and choose the model character's uisettings using the /load_uisettings command. DarqUI window placement and size will be exactly the same on every character.

After you check for updates, scroll down to "Spell Suggestions," right-click the gear icon and choose German. Then click Update Now.

How do i unlock to move the 'Mini-Zoning window' ?
It's locked in place, i try to resize but won't do.

The easiest way is Options (Alt+O) >> User Interface >> Game Windows >> Unlock all windows. Make sure you are seeing advanced options (button at top of the Options window.)

been crashing an AWFUL lot since ToT launched, using the current UI and no clue if its related to darq or not, but my UI.LOG fills up with these

This message is not an error, it generally means there is a blank line between two lines of XML code. Players who run only the default will also see this in their ui.log. The DarqUI utility audits your XML files every time you check for updates and will report any actual errors.
