I had the same problem a few weeks ago but a /loadui ingame allowed me to select and load DarqUI properly.

LittleMagica, if you follow sirmuttley's suggestion and you still don't see the UI, then the new patcher probably installed the game in a new place. I have talked with several DarqUI users who had this issue. Right-click on the EQII icon that you use to start the new patcher, and click "Open file location." Make sure the game location is also the one in the DarqUI utility. If your game location used to be in \Program Files, it's probably in \Users\Public now.

The Location is right...
when i use the command /loadui and switch to darq ui th game cant load the ui....
btw the game starts and try to load darq ui...but something isnt right...

we have use the older utility and install it in the same way and it works...when i use then the 6er utility and make changes....ui is broken

On the Settings tab, do you have International Compatibility Mode checked?

Mhh no it isnt checked in the older (2.2.1.5) what works ...but checked in the newer...i wil uncheck it now

i dont know what is goung wrong but have testet it...backug my darq ui folder....change settings with the new tool...ui brokes.....copy my backup back....change the same setting with the 2.1.5 tool...all okay

Okay, use the Updates tab to re-download the Persona (Character) window, even though it says you have the new version. I didn't change any code but changed the line numbering on one line that I believe may be causing the problem. I usually run each window through an international compatibility test before uploading, but with all the changes to the Persona window by SOE lately I missed doing that on the last push.

This should correct it -- post here again if it does not.

Have re download the persona...change charsetup....and it works...

Okay....one Question...

is it possible to make the groupwindow a little bit more...easier to handle? i mean the right-click menu with mentor...inspect and so....it is mostly not possible to bring up this menu....all i can see is windowoptions and so...


and maybe a little follow button? a little by the name of the groupmember? but the rightclick is really very importent for me...
in the statuswindow for me is it very difficult too to bring up this settings for leave group or so


can you make something there?
i hope i could explain the problems right....my english isnt good

LittleMagica, there are two ways you can create an autofollow button. You could use the F-key feature which will give you an autofollow for all characters (see below), or you could use one of the custom macro buttons as an autofollow button if you only want certain characters to use autofollow.

On the other issue, I can't seem to duplicate the problem you are having with the right-click context menu. I get the correct menu for group members and mercenaries when I right-click anywhere on the group window. Is there another transparent window covering the group window?

Hey, I just installed DarqUI for the first time today and I am having trouble getting it to work once I log into the game.

I've tried /load_uisettings, I made it default, I did everything in the setup video, and I went into UI under Options to see if it was there and it wasn't. I'm just not seeing it at all in-game. What should I do?

EDIT: I left my guild hall and I'm getting freaky lag and my EQ2Map isn't working. Note: I wasn't using any other Add-ons before installing DarqUI. Dunno if those issues had anything to do with DarqUI, but they didn't occur until I tried installing it.

Sorry, I believe I was referring to the keyboard layouts and for whatever reason I thought I had to go to the UI section under Options to reach it. Not sure myself, anyways, I just had EQ2 Defaults, EQ, and Other. Other didn't do anything for me.

EDIT: Well, I tried getting EQ2Map to work, but I can't seem to anymore. Even with DarqUI out of my EQ2 folder, so if DarqUI doesn't work--I don't think it's me or you, I think it's SOE.

Load_uisettings is not the right command, try typing /loadui instead. You should get a window with your various UI choices like Default, Default_Blue, etc. If it was installed in the right place, DarqUI will also be in that list. Choose it and the custom interface should appear.

Once that is done, go back to the EQ2MAP updater, point it to the new custom folder, and it will install your maps so you can use DarqUI and EQ2MAP together.

Is DarqUI supposed to be installed in the location following this path?:

Computer>OS(C>Users>Public>SOE>Installed Games>Everquest II>UI

I hope you understood what I just asked there. Awkwardly phrased sentence, but this is where DarqUI and EQ2MAP is located. I just opened EQ2MAP a few minutes ago and it did something with DarqUI so I jumped into the game and did the /loadui command but only the Default UIs were there.

Hollcome, right-click the icon that you use to start EQII, click "Open file location." Double-click the UI folder, then double-click the DarqUI folder and verify that there are XML files in it.

If all this looks good, start the game and type /loadui DarqUI in the chat window. You should see the custom interface. If you do not, then you have some kind of installation error that I can't identify. Be sure to take a look at the F.A.Q. link at the top of this page. Hope this helps.
