well im not sure what im doing wrong, the install instructions on pooka's download page is ENTIRELY different than the standard install instructions for everything else.
he says to extract the pooka druid rings xml and the pooka spires xml to the mods directory, but then it states to extract the eq2ui custom.....well ok, extract to where? when it tries to extract to the mod folder, it asks if i want to replace, and i say no as per instructions and his instructions state to edit it in an xml editor---what the heck is that? i open it from the list of choices i have, i do have someting that says xml editor with pretty colored squares, but the pc locks up when i select that, so i use word 2007.
i put that code in under whats alerady there,

include>_Pooka_DruidRings.xml</include>
<include>_Pooka_Spires.xml</include>

but word kicks it out saying unrecognized format.
so whats my stupid self doing wrong?

To edit the eq2_custom.xml file:

Right click the file in your UI directory and select edit - this should open the file with notepad for easy editing.

If it does not open in note pad, right click the file and select "open with" then choose notepad from the list.

Make sure you add these two lines above the last line: </Page>
<include>_Pooka_DruidRings.xml</include>
<include>_Pooka_Spires.xml</include>
