I have that problem with MENU button when I click it nothing happens I hear the click sound and I see icon animate but no menu tree is appearing.

I did a clean install of the Updater version of the Full Interface, and I have no menu button. I used F10 to view all windows, moved everything around, and I can't find it anywhere. Is there a way to "call it up" via keystrokes?

I did add the Infocenter to the interface...would this explain why the menu button is not appearing?

The Menu button is attached to the Start Button window.

/show_window MainHUD.StartButton

It's on the left-most side of the window.

Well, I tried that Nothing happens when I type/enter that. In fact, I started again with a clean install of the full interface (with no Infocenter) and then used the Updater. This screenshot is what I saw when I hit F10 immediately upon entering EQ2 after the clean install.

Is it this way on all characters? New characters?

It seems like your Start Button window may be off screen somewhere, out of view.

It's like this with all characters on this laptop, it seems. Maybe it's the weird widescreen res (1366x768). On my desktop PC the bar is there...

I did ALT-O and unselected "Allow Windows Offscreen" as well just be be safe.

For now I'd suggest trying to copy one of your UI layout xml files from your PC to your laptop and trying loading them.

I'll try to code in a special function for making the window appear front and center like I did with the threat window. Will have to wait til next week when I'm back home though. Cheers.

I copied the specific server_character_eq2_uisettings.xml file and the entire DrumsUI folder (after deleting the other ones first) from the PC to the laptop, but it still does not show the Menu bar. I'm going to try to put it on the other (Toshiba) laptop to see if the problem is unique to this (HP) laptop.

Is there another file that I should be copying over?

Tried putting it on the other laptop -- bar does not show there either.

Wow, that's very strange. Haven't had anyone encounter that problem. I'm using a laptop on my vacation and wasn't having any troubles with it.

For now, to force the DrumsUI main menu window open you can just use this command:
/show_window Custom.DrumsUI_MenuWindow

Yeah, I agree -- it's a weird issue. That command does work to open the menu window (yay!), but the stat bars are still missing (boo!). Thanks for replying about all this mess on your vacation, though!

Sir, is there a way to get the stat bar to a default location? Ever since i tried to move some windows around, I can not find my stat bar, I have done everything in the instructions to reload it. When i deleted the drumsUI folder, and repatched everything, I was ready to start from scratch, but everything was right where i left it.
The UI is perfect. I just can't seem to "find" the stat bar. In the /show_window Custom.DrumsUI_StatBarWindow, it shows up what i can put on the stat bar window, (potency, crit bonus, all that stuff), but the bar itself has disappeared.
I have hit F10 to see if i was blocking it, but I have to tell you, I had it pretty far up on the screen, then it disappeared.
If there was any way you could help with that, appreciate it.

Nothing happens when I hit that. /show_window MainHUD.StartButton
The command did not do anything.
I have the start button accessible, and i can click what I want to put on my stats bar... the only issue is the stats bar is gone, and I believe it went off window, and I want to reset it. I have tried the following.
adjusted resolution to expand screen.
reset all windows using userinterface/gamewindows/reset all windows.
downloading just the stat's bar.
replacing the file with new stat's bar.

I just can't seem to find it. It's in the code you provided, and I can see it in the file, just not sure why it's not showing up on screen.

Ok Sir,
I have reset all my windows, and opacities, IN doing that, I found a maintained spell window on the right, and a small time icon (sun/moon) window. Those I have never had.
I now understand that the start button and the stat bar are one and the same?
I am forcing open a window, using /show_window Custom.DrumsUI_menuwindow
and /show_window Custom.DrumsUI_StatBarWindow

So what else can I try? I really don't understand how I deleted all Drums stuff, started over, and still have same issue, that's weird to me.

yes, the "StatBar" uses the "StartButton" window, so using those other commands aren't helping you. The DrumsUI stat bar has a "MENU" button all the way on the left, and expanding it horizontally will display the stats. Check your Window Controls in your keyboard button settings and see if you can toggle the window with the key combination (or set one and try).
