I tried uninstalling and re-extracing but there must be a conflict somewhere. Hope this gets figured out because i would love to use this mod I think it is a fantastic idea.

It seems to be a shared issue among few. As long as the files are unzipped normally, that's fine. Make sure you have your eq2ui_custom.xml setup appropriately, and if you've had any previous versions of the InfoCenter installed, make sure it is totally eliminated. Perhaps a custom Journals xml file may be interfering. Let me know if you find out what's wrong!

ok this is how i had it done...i have compressed and extracted files for years thats not the issue...

anyhow...what happened last time is that the window came up but it came up before i was even in the game and i could not get rid of it...also when i used the esc infocenter button i still got the black window and had them both up hehe.

Ill keep messing with it and see what I can come up with...i feel i am very close

The InfoCenter folder goes into your Custom UI folder. The other folders are all subfolders inside that.
You should just be able to use a program like WinZip and unzip it to your Custom UI folder name.

The end result would be something like this:

EverQuest II/ui/CustomUI/...
EverQuest II/ui/CustomUI/InfoCenter/...
EverQuest II/ui/CustomUI/InfoCenter/[Other Folders]

How exactly did you fix this problem? This mod sounds great but i can not get it to work. Does the infocenter folder get put directly into your customUI folder or do you have to extract the individual folders seperately into the customUI folder?

Im sure its a placement of the files issue but not sure what the correct approach to solve this.

I had the same problems with blacked out mod window-no visibility, and the perma mod effect on a different mod.
I had the <install> code loaded into the wrong file.

Just returning to the game personally, I had forgotten how the UI structure worked.

Could you post a screenshot possibly in the support topic, and maybe list some of the other mods you're using, and double check that you have all the files in the right folders.

Problem is a black box pops up and has to be clicked away. As well as when ya click the start menu tab. This mod shows up but wont click away and I have to lower it below view and raise it to get required info... What do I need to do to fix this??? I have checked all threads and must be missing something??? Please help...

Yes, there is. When I first released this version of the InfoCenter, the expansion was still "somewhat" new, and I was still very new to it. I had just recently go back to playing the game. I've been busy since I released this version, but I will definitely be updating it soon, as well as other missing informations.

I was in goro yesterday and about to do some writs, I also had several status items I wanted to turn in but for the life of me I could not find the writ givers. Sooo I turned to the info center.
Imagine my surprise when all the pages for Goro were BLANK!

Im just wondering a couple things here,

1. did I somehow install wrong and miss that aspect of the info center

2. is there an update somewhere I forgot to grab to give me that info

3. is there just plain no info known about that aspect of goro yet?

If ya'll could maybe help me out with the info either by adding it into the inforcenter, or pointing to me to the info somewhere else I would most definately appreciate it. I am used to Qeynos/Freeport methods of getting writs but have scoured Goro and can't find anything even resenbling those. maybe Im dense or blind or both but sure would be nice to empty the packs I have stuffed with items as well as be able to grab a few writs and run em.

You need to have a custom UI folder, and not edit the ui files within the default folder. These files get patched each time you log-in.
Check the FAQ on how to install a custom UI.

i add the <include>eq2ui_custom.xml</include> on my eq2ui.xml file but my windows is always black

edit :

When i add the <include>eq2ui_custom_infocenter.xml</include> and launch the game, this line desappear

How can i fix this ?

If you're using a UI that has the eq2ui.xml file you need to make sure that <include>eq2ui_custom.xml</include> is added to the list.

Mine wasn't and I spent a couple hours this morning trying to figure out why the InfoCenter wouldn't work.

I'm probably a rare case...but it's worth a mention.
