I uploaded a new version, see if it helps out the problem.
The only file changed from v3 to v3.1 is the eq2ui_custom_infocenter.xml

Did you have any old Info Center versions installed? Do you have a eq2ui_journals.xml with maybe an old include in it?
Still trying to sort out the problems with old left over files that may have got missed on the users end.

Yep, there was an entry in that file, however when I removed it the infocenter became a window of nothing but black and still could not close it. I replaced the entry and all was back. I then looked to other files where the include might be located and found it in eq2ui_custom.xml and removed it, but nothing happened. Everything was there and all worked, but still could not close infocenter.

I have a small feeling that the old version of the InfoCenter existing in the UI ini file may have left over information that is conflicting with the new Info Center showing.
If you have the extra time, and maybe an extra character slot try:
-Create a new custom UI folder and install only this Info Center
-Alter your EQ2.ini file to use this new custom UI folder
-Create a new character (Don't import UI Settings)
-Login and see if you can access the Info Center without any problems
It would be a huge help to me if you could try this if possible, as I would love to help you get things working.

sorry took so long to get back to ya, but did all ye said and no such luck.. still not able to close infocenter.. what I am doing is making invis and minimzing it.. once I open it as I have no other choice except to log out and back in.. hahahaha.. I've deleted the infocenter folder, rebooted my system and then reinstalled your version, but still can not close it.. don't know why as everything in it works just fine.. even the window settings button right next to the x.. .. <shrug>

Odd. I don't see why the /hide_window command wouldn't work on international servers, either. It should be working just fine.
Perhaps I'll just revert the close button to normal. Those who want to keep their position in the info center will just have to minimize rather than close the window.

unable to close.
ok.. I've not been able to close the infocenter by way of the x button, however I found a way to close it. It would seem that right clicking anywhere on the window and adding the close option to the popup window that comes up will close the window.
Anyone not able to close the infocenter just edit the top line of this file "eq2ui_custom_infocenter.xml", that looks like this
"<Page Activated="true" allowcloseontop=" false" eq2usescomwndcontrols="true" Location="166,199" MinimumSize="620,250" Name="InfoCenter" OnShow="TabPages.Miscellaneous.visible=true
OnShow=' '" ScrollExtent="700,410" Size="700,410" UserMovable="true" UserResizable="true" version="1.0">
to this
<Page Activated="true" allowcloseontop=" true" eq2usescomwndcontrols="true" Location="166,199" MinimumSize="620,250" Name="InfoCenter" OnShow="TabPages.Miscellaneous.visible=true
OnShow=' '" ScrollExtent="700,410" Size="700,410" UserMovable="true" UserResizable="true" version="1.0">
Save it and close it, then log back into game.
When ye right click within the window the close option will be there and allow ye to close the window.

Hotbar button
If possible could you add a hotbar button for the Info center, It would be nice to be able to open it without opening up the EQ2 Menu, thanks.

As in a separate floating window? Or something to click from your hotbar?
If you want to open it from your hotbar, use /show_window Custom.InfoCenter

I was getting a black screen
If you are getting a black screen make sure you do this final step:
Rename eq2ui_custom_optional.xml to eq2ui_custom.xml if you do not already have this file.
If you already have a eq2ui_custom.xml add the following to yours:
Code:
<include>eq2ui_custom_infocenter.xml</include>
<include>InfoCenter/includes.xml</include>

I was thinking I would change this to the new default since the window now saves it's state when closing.
I may just have it as an alternative XML file included in the zip if anything else.
