Description:
Originally created by DBurgdorf, the Info Center is a resource window for lots of different and useful information. Various information has been condensed into better suited tabs, and it has had a face lift in several ways. The window is completely re-sizable with a small minimum size.
Use the EQ2 Button to open the InfoCenter. A minimize button is also included, so you can save the hassle of finding information again, and hide the window easily. The ESC will not close this window.
New This Release!- Simply a functional update with no updated/new content. This patch makes sure the window still works with current game updates.
Previous Release:- Added EQ2i and Allakhazam browser buttons, and cleaned up some more misc text files (v3.4)
- New "Close" button method (v3.3)
- Cleaned up HQ guides a bit (v3.2)
- Minimizing and maximizing the window will not disrupt where your scrollbar is at
- Closing the window will not change your current page/tab any longer
- Code changes to allow data to be used in other windows (check out my Journal Window)
- Make sure you read the installation notes: InfoCenter/includes.xml needs to be included in your eq2ui_custom.xml

- How To: Install A Custom UI
- PLEASE COMPLETELY UNINSTALL "ANY" PREVIOUS VERSION PRIOR TO INSTALLING
- eq2ui_custom_infocenter.xml goes in your CustomUI folder.
- eq2ui_mainhud_startmenu.xml goes in your CustomUI folder.
- eq2ui_custom_optional.xml goes in your CustomUI folder.
- /InfoCenter/ folder goes in your CustomUI folder (retain folder structure from Zip).
If you're using a UI that has the eq2ui.xml file you need to make sure that <include>eq2ui_custom.xml</include> is added to the list.
Extra Install Notes:
Rename eq2ui_custom_optional.xml to eq2ui_custom.xml if you do not already have this file. - If you already have a eq2ui_custom.xml add the following to yours:

Hey Drums, you may want to also think about partitioning the access quests into no longer needed and still needed sections =)

It should be easily compatible with most other interfaces. It's style with the default layout, and there's nothing extra besides the included text files.
I know gm9 is interested in possibly including it.

Just a FYI
If you're using a UI that has the eq2ui.xml file you need to make sure that <include>eq2ui_custom.xml</include> is added to the list.
Mine wasn't and I spent a couple hours this morning trying to figure out why the InfoCenter wouldn't work.
I'm probably a rare case...but it's worth a mention.

You need to have a custom UI folder, and not edit the ui files within the default folder. These files get patched each time you log-in.
Check the FAQ on how to install a custom UI.

?s about the info center
I was in goro yesterday and about to do some writs, I also had several status items I wanted to turn in but for the life of me I could not find the writ givers. Sooo I turned to the info center.
Imagine my surprise when all the pages for Goro were BLANK!
Im just wondering a couple things here,
1. did I somehow install wrong and miss that aspect of the info center
2. is there an update somewhere I forgot to grab to give me that info
3. is there just plain no info known about that aspect of goro yet?
If ya'll could maybe help me out with the info either by adding it into the inforcenter, or pointing to me to the info somewhere else I would most definately appreciate it. I am used to Qeynos/Freeport methods of getting writs but have scoured Goro and can't find anything even resenbling those. maybe Im dense or blind or both but sure would be nice to empty the packs I have stuffed with items as well as be able to grab a few writs and run em.

Yes, there is. When I first released this version of the InfoCenter, the expansion was still "somewhat" new, and I was still very new to it. I had just recently go back to playing the game. I've been busy since I released this version, but I will definitely be updating it soon, as well as other missing informations.

Awesome Mod...
Problem is a black box pops up and has to be clicked away. As well as when ya click the start menu tab. This mod shows up but wont click away and I have to lower it below view and raise it to get required info... What do I need to do to fix this??? I have checked all threads and must be missing something??? Please help...

Could you post a screenshot possibly in the support topic, and maybe list some of the other mods you're using, and double check that you have all the files in the right folders.

I had the same problems with blacked out mod window-no visibility, and the perma mod effect on a different mod.
I had the <install> code loaded into the wrong file.
Just returning to the game personally, I had forgotten how the UI structure worked.
