im getting the same kinda stuff ...was working fine ...Ive been looking for the Java 7.0 but i cant seem to find anywhere to download it... all i find is 6.11...
any advice?

I've had this problem for as long as I can remember. I just recently returned to EQ2, had to set up my UI from scratch and was hoping there was a fix since I'd last played but apparently not. If anyone can show me how to fix it I'd be very grateful.

Basically I set up my hotbars in a grid 3 wide by 4 tall. Then I compress them all into one giant grid that's 6 banks wide. The problem lies in the fact that the "spinner" area of the banks overlap into the buttons to the left of them. So basically the 4 right most hot buttons of every bank are half covered. I've tried moving them under each other and then making them click through that never takes. I've tried to set the frames to "none" or "frame only" I've tried "hide spinner" nothing seems to work.

It can be quite infuriating. to click a hot button multiple times trying to get it to fire only to realize the stupid spinner from next door is taking up half the button. If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

I just gave full write permissions to the EverQuestII folder to "Everyone" - it worked after that.

I am getting need admin rights when i run the auto updater.. i have read the previous posts, I updated java.. but it says java 6 not 7 .. and I am not seeing where ppl are getting java 7.. I tryed going to the java.aws.exe file to change like one of the posts said to do.. but I could not figure out how to change it once i was in the properties section.. could one of you computer savy ppl post a step by step walk through for the completly computer stupid?
I would really be thankful... I miss my profit UI hehe.

I have been using Profit and this newer auto updating version for over 2 years now. Yes there is the odd hiccup but mostly due to Sony with an update. Of late, it has kept pace with all game updates and has worked faultlessly. EQ2 without Profit UI? Totally out of the question.

I have tried countless times to load profit reborn on my new laptop which has vista. for some reason it isnt taking. doesn anyone have any ideas or is it not compatible. and if not when is there going to be a compatible version out and when

The updater doesn't want to update eq2ui_mainhud_raid.xml for me - it doesn't show in the ignored list, I've removed it from the profitui folder and still the (new, java) updater doesn't see it as needing updating, I went to variants and explicitly selected the default version of the raid window, update still not seeing a need for it, even after restarting updater. Not sure if it's just somehow hidden ignored but not showing on the ignore list, or if it's just not in the list of files to check, since the ignore list no longer shows the full list including unignored files.

Im getting a warning message saying: Everquest2.exe not found! Please set you Everquest 2 directory in "settings, filepaths" first...dunno what to do


UpDate: I got it to go....updating files n stuff now...so hopefully it will work

To enable the build-in Administrator account, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
2. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
3. When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
4. At the command prompt, type net user administrator /active:yes, and then press ENTER.
5. Type net user administrator <Password>, and then press ENTER.
Note: Please replace the <Password> tag with your passwords which you want to set to administrator account.
6. Type exit, and then press ENTER.
7. Log off the current user account.
P.S. <> not needed just put a space inbetween net user administrator and the password u want,also there is no space inbetween( net user administrator /active:yes)so type like this (net user administrator/active:yes)
