I recently installed .Net 2.0 sp1 on my machine for another application. Now when I try to update, it stops at the eq2.ini, then dies. errorlog.txt has the following:

Path information is not saved, if the original SOE install registry info doesn't exist it prompts for the location of the everquest2.exe file.

Love this UI! Downloaded it and have found it a big help. Though I can't customize the npc's in the guild hall the box appears to be a white box with a black outline. Is this an issue on my end and I need to move some folders around or something to look forward to in a patch soon?

I'm having a problem with your downloader. It's throwing an IO exception because it's trying to create a directory named the same as the EverQuest2.exe file. This is a fairly simple fix - if you'd like to publish the source I'd gladly fix it for you. Also, where does it store the path information between launches? I checked the registry and couldn't find it.

Critical Mitigation

I think most are on the Profile window, but its kind of a pain to have to open that up everytime you want to see how a buff/item effected your stats.

Both are now fixed along with the missing Stat strips (with new Damage Reduction info)

Updater will force a full install.

For some reason the Infocenter is not coming up. I just removed and reinstalled the ui because the POIs was not coming up, but they work great now but still nothing from the infocenter. No problems with it prior to this expansion/update 50.

Had kind of an oddity occur. Im not sure if they changed the guild harvest box again or what but its not showing buttons and the frame is blacked out again like when they first put em in. Just thought I would bring this to your attention fyi another person who uses your ui mod is having the same prob so its not just me :P

I added a new browser tab 'Add POI'.

On Vista make sure you are running the updater as administrator by right clicking on 'DBsEQ2ModInstaller.exe' and choosing 'Run as administrator'.

Still not getting anything.

I deleted the file you asked me to delete and it did not do anything different when I ran the updater. I even went in and deleted EVERYTHING, all your folders from within my EQ2 folders. I ran the installer again, then the update and I still get the same error. Now your UI is wiped from my system and I cant get even get it back now !

Thanks DB works like a charm, although my pop up add poi to the map isn't popping.. can I just add it to the eq2 custom ui in the DeaDBeats folder to get it to start popping?

Ive been having the same problem. The only workaround I can find is to rename your everquest2.exe file temporarily and the copy the files to the right places. The problem is that this makes the install un-updatable and you have tot do it all over again to update. Also, when installing like this tonight (since no other way works for me), its been cutting out on the download after about 30 seconds and giving me this error:
