Patch |
I guarantee you guys this is the BEST compass/clock mod you have ever seen! =P
*Update: July, 03, 2005*
I uploaded this file to include the old font files. If you want to use this mod with the new fonts, you need to download the patch above.
The clock uses the same method of page laying I used on the Ammo slot of my Startbutton mod. For those of you who have used my start button mod, you will realise that this means you will simply need to scroll your mouse over ONCE, every time you log in, Then the clock will automatically correct itself. If anyone knows a workaround to this, let me know. Though it literaly only takes 0.0000001 seconds to do a simple mousehover, it would simply put my mind at ease to be able to fix this problem.

Hey Jaxel,
I added the following line to my eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml on the OnShow attribute
Code:
OnShow="show_window=(MainHUD.Clock) show_window=(MainHUD.Clock)"
Not sure why or if you have to put it twice but this allows the clock to show up initially without mouse over, it is still out of position until a mouse over. Not the solution but a step closer.
I got the idea from Mahonri's read me file
Mahonri's Coin UI
Thanks, nice clock/compass!!

I LOVE this compass. Unfortunately I got the problem it doesn't show the right direction (somehow switched for 1/8 I guess). I will check this thread for update each week and I'm looking forward to use the compass again!!

love the clock
I've been using this for a while now but noticed the other day, the compass is off by 1/8th of a turn. I'll show I'm facing north on the map but the compass says NW. Is there a way to fix this?

nice but buggy
if you dont mind my saying nice work. I do want to tell you that the phase of day icon seems to detactch as a second window and even when in fixed position, always seems to pop up in center of screen until you fool around with main clock window. Can this be fixed?

Well..I actually *like* the new fonts in all the other not-this-particular-clock-mod windows. (Apparently they look different on my screen---the screenshots I have seen of other people's computers display something different.)
When I install this click/compass widget of coolness, will I have to go back to looking at the old fonts in any of the other windows?
EDIT: Woo! Thanks! Using this (amazing) ui now!

Same problem here. I can't change the fonts or font sizes on this one, apparantly. The times at the bottom are overlaying one another.

FYI, the point of skining it for Fetish is so it can use ANY of the multiple themes for Fetish (there's 4 different themes atm, including one very similar to the default UI).
Also, if you skin it for Fetish, its far less likely to break when SOE changes stuff since Fetish uses a dedicated namespace and image files. Its also less likely to conflict with other mods

Zonx - Thanks your the man!
Jaxel - Thank you for creating such a beautiful looking compass. I find the the SOE colors are boring after a while. I like the way Zonx set it up where you can just drop in different image files and get totally different colors. Anyway, good work. I also like what you have done with your bag mod.

I dont see why this isnt fetish compatible. You just unzip it into the fetish folder and it should work. Skin colors? Its just black.
Besides, if I made it fetish compatible, it wouldn't work for people who dont have fetish. And this is precisely why I dont use Goldi's button, cause it doesnt show up for me. Personaly, I see nothing wrong with the colors SOE picked for the default UI, and my idea for skinning my UI was to get it to work better while retaining as much of the original SOE design as possible.
