the UI ist one of the best which are available i love this stuff. thx for it but i have found an error. The Claiming windows causes an error when opening.

I have noticed that

For the time being, go to the "Goldi" folder, and delete a file named:

"eq2ui_popup_claim.xml"

This will make the UI load the default window for claiming

I am looking at that and the next update will fix it!

Well, since there are so many questions, i am starting a FAQ for the UI


1) I Don't like that status bar at the lower end of the screen, how do i turn it off?

A: Explore the "(everquest2)\UI\Goldi" folder, and locate a file named: "eq2ui_mouseovericons.xml", and then DELETE the file. Next time you log-in, it will be gone

2) I don't like the Clock window, how do i turn it off?

A: there are several ways, but the best one is:

Explore the "(everquest2)\UI\Goldi\#Goldi Optionals\Clock\Clock not visible" folder, and copy the file "eq2ui_mainhud_clock.xml" to "(everquest2)\UI\Goldi", overwriting the file that is already there

3) I can't move the Group window! Help!

A: Right click the group window, if you see "Unlock Window" listed, then click it. If it is listed "Lock Window", then do nothing

Now, right click it again, and select: "window settings", and in the next window which will open, in "Frame and Title", select "Frame and Titlebar", then press "OK"

Now you can move the window!

THANKS a ton for the info on your last reply and looking forward to a FAQ. When I installed the GUI a few days ago at first there was the status bar below with all the characters info which you now told how to rememove but there was another that I did like which had more info and could expand and compress it but it dissapeared. What command to get it to appear?

Hello! I am a mix match person too! LOL Anyway I am trying to take your startup button and all that goes with just that. But for some reason the harvest when clicked on only brings up a black box. Can you tell me what files I need to complete that? Everything else is ok (startup thing)

And I cant wait till you get the hood/on off working and the eat and drink working! Jeeezzz sony they make thing harder than they need be!

Your MMM UI is the best, I've tried others, but keep coming back to Goldi's, nice work. I was wondering why I can't select the option to pick myself from the third person any more. Any others have the same problem and is there a fix?

Hi Goldi i think there is another problem in the UI. When you are on the screen where you can choose your character but your character is in the world because you got a crash there is a message that you cannot login because there is another character in the world. In this window there is no button to click and you cannot abort or accept the message you cann only close the application.

Maybe you can fix it in the LU17 Version. Iam looking forward for your LU17 release (i hope there is one) because i use at the moment the default UI i miss all the nice features of your UI

Have downloaded the latest Version for LU17. There is a hard error. When you die the game will crash.

Solution: Delete the File: "eq2ui_mainhud_death.xml" from the Goldi UI Folder.

The Message on the Character Screen when you want to login but your character is already in game cannot be clicked away. You have to close EQ2 and start new.

Solution: none atm

hi Goldi just wanted to say awesome work, i played mmo's for 10 years now and finally decided to try EQ2, now iam a new player to that and still trying out alot of chars and with ur UI it really helps.
i encountered one problem tho,being such a new player, i still have rewards but after i installed the UI i cant claim them.

every time i log out it disapears and goes to the Default UI how do i fix this ??

Per the message above, I attempted to find a thread for this UI under the Released section, but was not successful. I hope I don't get slapped for posting here.

I installed today, and have tested everything that I thought needed updating, with the exception of the death window, (I'm no masochist).

There is one thing that hasn't appeared here, and I am not sure whether it's a bit buggy, or if it was done by design.

When you are operating as a merchant, and you attempt to browse the market, the window automatically defaults to 'my class and level'.

Well, I can see that if I'm a shopper, but as a merchant, I am not usually checking prices for things I wish to buy, but for things I wish to price check in order to sell.

Is there a way to change this feature on the merchant's side of the browse market feature?

Once again, thanks for the excellent UI. I've been using it for months now and I'm devoted. 8)

I have no idea why this is happening.

I have my eq2.ini typed as this:
And this will not load the Goldi UI on login.

But if I type it like this
It worked properly.

Also, the Maintened Spells Box & Stats Box disappeared on me when I login a second time.

Note that I was using this in the PvP Beta server so maybe that is why.

Any idea on how to make them show up again in-game at least?
The Maintained Spell box & Stats Box I mean.

Figured it out.

The Stas bar can be reopened via the Persona Window.
And the Maintained Spells can be reopened via ALT+M.

everything works fine in the UI except when im ni a group, the % of mana/hp for my group is always 0%.... everything else loads fine tho... any idea how to fix this?

I love your UI but there are some UI pieces that I wish you have included as an alternate or default.

  Mother's Experience - a different type of XP Bar. I use it instea of the Goldi or fetish one.
  
  MaddBomber's Tracking Window - Nice Tracking window.
  
  MaddBomber_Group Click to Cast - Great alternative Group window.
  It has the ability to have a "Quick Cast" feature on a group member.
  meaning you can customize it so that you can do a heal/buff/debuff cast just by clicking on a part of the Group Window.
  (Some customization may be necessary)
  
  MaddBomber's Player Window (Click to Cast) - same thing as the Group window by MaddBomber but on the player window.
  Bonus is having the Pet window attached to it. (ALT+P to show pet window when no pet up)
