I am having a problem... I somehow got rid of the long thin window that displays all of your stats (Str, Sta, Int, etc) as well as mitigation etc... Can someone give me an idiots guide to getting this window back? Thanks in advance...

Right click on the chat window and select "Window Settings". In the drop down box select "Window Frame and Title Bar" and hit accept.

I see someone else is having the same problem I am. I can't see the line where I'm supposed to type in chat which is getting annoying. Can anyone help me get that back? I'm not really great at figuring all of this out.

See my post below and click the link called replacement files. I list 3 files in that post right click on each one and save as to your fetish directory overwriting the three files you have there. That should get you up and running, make sure the game is not running when you do this.
