With patch 1.2.4 everything was fine.. I upgraded to 1.2.6 and now to 1.2.7 but I cannot get the option to launch 2ND file to stay enabled. I am able to check it and the file path is listed, but when i hit OK and then go back in to the options the file path stays but the option is still unchecked.

Any advice?

Hi,

Everytime I try to use the updater for the testserver when game tries to launch it uses the old launchpad 1.75. No matter where I point eq2mapupdater to, it keeps reverting to the old, old launchpad 1.75. "the stop watch looking one"

I can use eq2map updater for the regular servers just fine. It uses the current and updated launchpad. But not when I try to use the eq2map updater for testserver.

If you are running windows 7 try right clicking and run as administrator. I had some issues until I did this and then it ran fine. Good Luck

I cannot for the love of God download ANY maps for EQ2! - manual or automatic. I get so far and then it asks me to connect to maps.eq2interface.com, it wants a user name and password, so I tried it and it doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions for me please? I'm getting so frustrated with it all, I really don't know why the maps just don't come with the game instead of everyone having to download it separately.

I like the maps.. but i am not getting all the zones... i try to uninstall and reinstall to fix this problem.. and still having same problem.... somebody suggested i am running the same program in 2 different places thus cancelling each other out... how can i be sure i am completely uninstalling and reinstalling so i can get my maps back... it shows some things and not others as well... and can't seem to do waypoints anymore either.. i am lost and confused.. my e-mail addy is [email protected] if anybody has suggestions... thanks for the help!

make sure your auto launch in map updater (options) is directed to your launch pad application in your EQ2 file.

I don't know if anyone else had this problem but I would run the auto updater and it would give me an error message that said,

There was an error getting latest version info: Unable to connect to the remote server.

I can't remember how long I've had this problem but I figured out what was causing it. I run the Webroot anti-virus software on my computer and for some reason if it's active I get this message, if I disable it by turning Gamer Mode On I am able to update it without any problems.

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem but try temporarily disabling your anti-virus program and see if that works.

i download and try to open the map updater and i get windows security and asks for name and password to connect to eq2interface

I am running EQ2 Map 1.2.4 and I cannot get the application to open. I receive this exception:
