Applying an icon number background?

I want to be able to apply an icon background to the numbers. If there is not an way, or easy way to do this then I can easily settle for a font with an outline. I don't know if anyone else has a hard time reading the numbers on the broker ect. but I do..

one thing you could try is edit the icons themselves to have a darker area where the numbers would be. This would take some searching through dds files

Far as I know there is no way to interact with the text directly except changing font used.

Well I was thinking of an icon overlay perhaps. If not I think there is a font with outlines, how would I go about changing it to that?

I found two things that would most likely change what I need.

The easiest is to change the font for the icons to outline. That is what I am working on. I know this would be extremely easy for anyone who has basic knowledge on how to do ui modding.

Ya, I want to change it to outline but I don't know how.

Does that work?
The thing is I tried changing the font on the icon that on the broker buy tab, did nothing. Also it was using the Item_List icon style, I tried putting that font code in there to see if it worked and I got nothing.

Maybe there is a way to properly edit the Icon_list icon style to get an outline font for everything, that would be so keen!
