Auto Updater Crashing

Hey all,

I'm trying to get the auto updating version of EQ2MAPS working, but every time I run it, it crashes with the following error:

"EQ2MAP_Updater.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I have Microsoft .Net v. 2.0.50215 installed. Please help. I love this utility (I use it on my wife's PC), and I feel naked without it.

Not that it would solve your problem, but I just wanted to point out there is a manual install version of EQ2Map as well. I hope you get your problem fixed though!

You should have complete more complete error dumps.

There are a number of FAQ threads, some of which address your problem.

Thanks for the suggestion, Drum. One question though: how do I get the manual version working? There aren't any instructions in the zip file.

install it just like any other custom interface.
if you dont know how to install an interface, click the "how to install (faq)" button which is right below the download button on the download page for the manual version.
