Default Nektulos Forest

Assuming that it's possible to replace the SOE maps with custom maps, has anyone given any thought to creating a map of Nektulos Forest that actually shows zone walls? As often as I've hunted there, I still find myself mistakenly assuming when I look at the map that I can run in a relatively straight line from point 'A' to point 'B,' only to end up winding through half the zone because 'you can't get there from here.'

(OK, granted, it doesn't happen as often as it used to, but it still happens sometimes, and it'd be really nice to have an *accurate* map!)

Hehe, I was just about to make a post about changing map files as I hate the Nek map so much

So... does eq2map check the sizes of files present? Or does it just download whats missing/listed as updated/new?

I believe the updater just uses an MD5 sum of the file. If there is any change to the server file, it changes the MD5 sum. The updater compares it's list of sums to that on the server and downloads those that are different.
