Map keeps resetting as if I havent been to an area before.

The program works great, but every few times I log in the map to sinking sands gets reset and it forgets where I have been so the whole area is blacked out and I have to visit the whole place again to see the map.

Any ideas as to the cause/how to fix this problem?

Hmm, the only time that would happen is if you switched from using eq2map back to the default interface, then back to eq2map. The fog of war stuff is stored on sony's servers and is reset when the zonerect changes.

Ah, that explains it, I play eq2 here at home and at work. I only have eq2map installed here and not at work. I guess I will have to install it at work too.

That explains WHY it happened but CAN it be corrected . I built a new systen and startyed to play without having first used EQ2map on NEW hard drive and everything is black as you said i really need to lift the fog. Will or Can sony do that or can i9 in some way>?

All the fog uncovered-ness is stored server-side as far as I know. Once it resets, I don't think it can be recovered.
