waypoint on map not dissappearing

Hi guys

I am huge fan of yor site and found many helpful threads. Most importantly i discovered the map! I for one spent most of gametime looking for places so THANK YOU! I was just wondering if it would be possible to fix the map in such a way that the waypoint trail does not disappear when closing the map. I find it extremely difficult to focus on the way and not getting killed with the map (which is not resizeable) on the screeen.

instead of clicking the x to close, use m. If you havent changed key assignments, closing it with the m key doesnt eliminate the glowing trail.
