Jump into the UIBuilder/XML coding (if you like coding XML better or even know it), and just start by editing things. Maybe tried download some mods you like and tweak them in some way. You need to "learn" how things work and such before you can really do anything. Learn to crawl before you walk, and you'll (hopefully) eventually start to piece things together bit by bit.

I agree you should start small. Set a small goal of what you want to do and try and accomplish it and continue from there.

There is a good uibuilder guide by tonyis3l33t in the XML Modification Help & Info forum.

i have looked at tony's guide, and while it did shed some light on things, it didnt have a whole lot of info on it.

I know it will take some time, but usually guides have helped me out as they usually provide some nice info on various aspects of how to do things.

I;ll continue to tinker with it, and hopefully figure things out
