The EQ2MAP updater will not ask for a username or password. Make sure you're downloading from the correct link (copied here for you) and make sure that it's downloading a zip file.

You may need to disable download accelerators (do people still use those?) and potentially your anti-virus. Sometimes AVs have a false positive since the updater is designed to download files to your computer (but that's the whole point of it).
