Error Missing Window Nc2

I have downloaded the updater just fine but when the client gets to the actual game (read: once past title screens) EQ shuts down saying that a file is missing, Window NC2 or something like that. EQ works just fine as the original but I can't play with the updater. It used to work but for some reason it no longer does, I even reinstalled the updater, no dice. Any ideas on how to fix this?

This problem is unrelated to the eq2map. What other UI mods do you use?

Just delete the eq2ui_newcharscene2.xml file in your custom UI directory and that error will go away. It's an issue that all older versions of that file have, unfortunately, so they only way to solve it is to use SOE's default one or an updated version of a custom one.
