Agreed on the world zone connection overlay, it just doesn't work well anymore. I made an updated version before TSO came out (which was never made available though) and that was pretty busy already. Now TSO connections would need to be added. We never had rings, spires and most teleports on it though, would become completely unreadable in that case.
Therefore we thought about adding separate connection overlays to each of the continent maps. It's difficult to make these look good and useful though (because it's still a lot of connections even per continent and because you cannot draw the destination so you'd need to put a text label or something). Ideas or even better finished overlay graphics are welcome.
