Got an issue that may or maynot be related to the UI. I have been crashing tons recently and been trying to figure out why on Splitpaw.
I have noticed that the UI when I launch the game or use the ingame browser opens over 8 Awesomium Processes using Task manager which uses tons of memory,which seems to make me crash tons normally over 15 times a day either zoneing or not,these processes do not close when the ingame browser is closed,the memory the processes used also kept going up and up after 5 mins the figures in the picture had doubled,I imagin that was partly due to the mem leak that has and is being fixed ingame by DB.
My partner has same spec pc as me and runs fetish and hers only opens up 1 at launch and 1 other when ingame browser is open and that closes when browser is closed.So I swapped out the DarqUI and used basic UI and it opened 2 processes used it for a day and my crashes were reduced by 80%,I then tried using Fetish same result as the basic UI.
Talking today and someone else(on Splitpaw) was crashing loads I explaned what happened to me and they are using Darqui ,they checked running over 8 processes and didn't even start the browser yet.



At present I am using Fetish and my crashes are now 1 or 2 a day if that.
on Splitpaw,If I log onto the TLS Stormhold I crash more (either zoning or not) and am using Darqui due to fetish not working right,I also have to disable the ingame browser as the ammount of processes it opens up.

Is it possable to have a look into this just seems very very weird.

Brutius, log out of the game and then on the Settings tab of the utility click the "Make Default" button and follow the prompts. Log in again and see if DarqUI loads automatically without requiring the loadui command.

If not, delete the entire DarqUI folder then open the utility and check for updates, then right-click the "Skip" column and skip all files. Accept and download one DarqUI file, the Broker window for example. Log in to the game and see if you have a DarqUI Broker window. (You may still need to do a /loadui once.) If that works, exit the game and try downloading the rest of the interface. Post here again if you are still unable to load the entire interface.

I run the DarqUI Window utility as admin, I choose my EQ 2 ui directory as the directory, and verify it in the settings window. I click check for updates, then update now.

At this point the DarqUI directory is there and full of files. When I enter the game, I can choose DarqUI from the loadui command, but when I do, the UI just looks like the default.

Is there something I am doing wrong, or am I just SOL?

The way to disable a piece of the UI is to delete the associated file. If you are not sure which file goes with which window, check for updates in the utility and the file names will be displayed. You should be able to run a partial installation of DarqUI with no problems. There are no file dependencies that would break the UI by their absence.

Thank You for the great UI. I'm having an issue with the UI not loading. It works 100% whenever I update and install all the files. However, if I don't install all the options, it won't work. Is there any tips for this? Is there any option to disable a file/plugin if I've already installed it?

If you already have DarqUI installed and working, the easiest way is to point the EQ2MAP updater to the DarqUI folder (EQ2MAP Options button). If EQ2MAP is already installed and working, you can install DarqUI into the EQ2MAP folder (Settings tab of the DarqUI utility). Either way, you are combining the two interfaces into one folder.

Ansomx, there was an outage with my server overnight, but a workaround was put into place this morning. Please give it another try and your download should work. If it does not, go to the Settings tab and choose "alternate download method" and try again. Post here again if you are still having trouble.

Not sure how.. but i can't reinstall the ui. On the today routine, i have update the ui, but the file update are disappeared.

I have this error in pretty much all file

Hi HI Darq,
I am updating the UI and I noticed its not pulling the right info in. its all wrong loolz


Not pulling from the new server and my high level toons are showing on the wrong server. Is the new server called storms? Thanks

EDIT: I reinstalled the UI and it seems to be working now.

Cleitanious, make sure you are running the window utility as administrator, and verify from the Settings tab that the files are being downloaded into the correct game folder location. Then press the "Make Default" button on the Settings tab and follow the prompts. If you are still unable to see the custom interface even after using the /loadui command, I'm afraid I don't have any other advice.

Hello, I tried to install this UI but I'm not seeing any changes in-game except that it is using the Vanguard style skin I selected, otherwise the interface is vanilla. I tried the DarqUI window and Live versions. I installed them like any other UI, made them default, ran the set-up and used /load UI.

Sorry you're having trouble. Your screen resolution should not cause the UI to crash. Two things to try: 1) Log out of the game and then on the Settings tab of the utility click the "Make Default" button and follow the prompts. Log in again and see if DarqUI loads automatically without crashing.

2) If not, delete the entire DarqUI folder then open the utility and check for updates, then right-click the "Skip" column and skip all files.
