Auto Update 2.0

Hi Everybody!

I'm going to start putting together Autoupdate version 2.0. Have lots of planned changes to the current system. Including:

* Better User Interface.
* Faster update times.
* More extensive logging.
* Possible compression support.
* Unified manfiest structure.
* Did I mention the cool new GUI?
* use of packages and DLL's so updates to downloader will be much smaller (saving Faetyl some serious bandwidth!).

Anyway I need lots of testers when this system goes beta. Please do not sign up here but instead send me an e-mail at [email protected] I'll start building a beta team list and let everyone know when it's time to start (1-2 weeks).

We need as many folks as possible to test this so things go as smoothly as possible.

FYI
We hope to move the actual hosted interface files to eq2interface.com and off of my mouse driven webserver.

This should also help to speed the update process for everyone.

It will also allow q2interface the ability to provide my work to another author in the event I get eaten by a Dragon in Norrath.

have not seen anything latley on 2.0 was wondering on when you thought migth be releasing as i love your ui and want to see what you have planned new.

I've been waiting to post in hopes we would hear from MrNice.

Unfortunately I haven't heard from him for some time.

What this means:
No updates to the updater...

UI items are still being updated by me although far less frequently than originally as you may have noticed.

I am working on some updates now (I'm on vacation woo hoo)
