Default Crash on news (referencing JScript)

With EQ2Map 1.2.3 Auto-updater, using a debugger, the error
Quote:
Microsoft JScript runtime error: '_gat' is undefined
happens in updatesnews.html. The code:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-1459431-32");
pageTracker._initData();
pageTracker._trackPageview();
I could not find any definition for the variable _gat.

Windows Vista Ultimate (UAC on or off does not have an impact).
I can continue past it (gotta love debuggers!).

Just get rid of the analytics? Or is there something I am missing? And yes, I did do a reinstall. And clear cache. And reboot. And manually rip, kill, and maim it all. And no, my router does not current forbid the analytics (but it will).

Its google analytics. I'm not getting that error. Looks like maybe your not getting a full page downloaded? Its basically the same code on every page on this site right now.

If you look at the source do you get a </body></html> at the end?

Rookie mistake on my part in forgetting to provide sufficient information. Sorry about that.

The HTML generated is incomplete. The last few lines of code in the file are:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-1459431-32");
pageTracker._initData();
pageTracker._trackPageview();
<
Everything above this script snippet is correct and balanced. I cannot even say for sure it is not machine specific. I have another, nearly identical, machine and this version works correctly there.

If no "oh the user just mucked it up" appropriate solution exists, then do not bother with this. I can always copy the files from the other machine and assume it is user error.
