I've had that happen once. Just go to http://updater.pala.de/launch.jnlp in a browser and let the updater download itself again. That'll correct the cache and should get everything needed loaded again.

I've got the same problem. Except that link did not fix the problem, when I clicked the link it popped up with the same error message as when I try to open Profit Updater...

I have redownloaded the latest java - and tried to download profit again but keeps popping up with that error..

Go to Start -> Run and type 'javaws -viewer' .. Deinstall it from there before trying to reinstall it.

That link doesn't work for me. I get a 'cannot display webpage' when I click on the link. I also updated my Java. This is a newer computer so I don't have any older versions of Java to work with. Any suggestions? This is the error that keeps coming up:

This is still related to a DNS error I am not able to localize yet. Please give me the DNS servers you are using. You can get their IPs by clicking the "Check my DNS" button on http://www.doxpara.com/ . Do it several times as usually you will have several DNS servers configured by your ISP. It will display the name server IP right below that button.

If I try to run the link above in browser I get:

Quote:
Firefox can't find the server at updater.pala.de.
When I try to find the DNS at DoxPara like you asked I get:

Quote:
Your name server, at 68.238.112.39, may be safe, but the NAT/Firewall in front of it appears to be interfering with its port selection policy. The difference between largest port and smallest port was only 185.
Please talk to your firewall or gateway vendor -- all are working on patches, mitigations, and workarounds.

Requests seen for 612aad9da772.doxdns5.com:
68.238.112.39:46553 TXID=33814

68.238.112.39:46408 TXID=14121
68.238.112.39:46445 TXID=63021
Your updater worked fine until yesterday I believe. This seems to me like the hard way to do things but I hope this information helps get the problems resolved.

Wskrs
