The updater says it cannot download the updates

I have Unified Window Utility Ver. 3.3.1.0.

I have 31 files to update.

I get this error message 31 times

Downloading [name of file] > > could not download

What is going on? I checked my firewall. It permits activity from Darqui.

I'm having this exact same issue. If I shut the firewall down to get the updates it works, but I'd really prefer to know what I need to grant access to so I won't have to shut off the firewall.

Error Example:

Update complete

The most security-conscious advice I can offer for an aggressive antivirus or firewall package is to temporarily suspend it just long enough to get updates when there are new files. Since you are successfully downloading the file list while your antivirus app is active, you should be able to check for new files any time without suspending.

Thanks, that resolved the issue. I turned off the firewall. Updated. And turned the firewall back on immediately afterwards.

Thank you for looking over this thread and responding, Darqwood. I love using Darqui and think that it's a superb enhancement for the game. I can live with suspending the firewall for a few seconds to be able to continue to enjoy the benefits of the work that you all put in. Thanks again for the advice and response.

Agreed. (I did the same thing and everything downloaded perfectly.) PLUS: the UI showed up on my list of UIs in-game, where it hadn't before--presumably because it wasn't updated.

What I discovered over the past week or so since I came back, and couldn't make DarqUI work: I can NOT play EQ2 without DarqUI! Keep up the great work, Darqwood!
