Default Player Icon on Map - Color change question

I'm a color blind player, and the red icon that represents the player in the map is very difficult for me to see over the mostly brown land areas.

Is there a setting or some type of control to adjust the color of the player icon? it would be much easier for me to see if I could make it blue or some lighter color.

Thanks

Unzip the attached file and drop icon_map4.dds into the \images\icons folder inside your custom UI. If you are using EQ2MAP, also drop in icon_eq2map.dds. The first one changes the red arrow to bright blue, the second one changes group member dots (2 through 6) from red to blue also.

You'll need to add the file(s) to your ignore list, depending on which app you are using to get maps.

Use an image editing tool that can load and save .dds files, in my case Photoshop with nVidia dds plug-in. Load the image, turn off the alpha channel, use Marquee or Lasso tool to pick up the area you want to edit. Then use one of the color manipulation tools to change the color, I probably used Color Balance. Save the image without MIP maps. Most of the UI image files are in DXT3 or DXT5 format.
