Default hotbars with aditional hotkeys

I'd like to create a hotbar that looks like the numpad, so that the icons have the same layout as the shortcuts.

But to do that I would need 4 additional keys and I would have to position them manually.

Does anyone now, if and how that's possible?

Buttons would be a solution, but from what I understood, their funktion could only be changed in UIBuilder and not inGame?

Making a hotbar like that is probably not possible, since I know hotbars are stored server-side.

Making a hotbar with additional buttons is certainly possible, and there are ways to edit them in game, I believe. I think there's a couple mods that already do that. But for sure you can make some buttons, but...

Every hotbar will have those additional buttons (so you'll have to tie them to the frame or something, so that you can hide them when you don't want them) and there's no way to make them act like a true hotbar w/ the cooldown and such.

If I have to use buttons I would probably use them only and create a completely new window.

Has anyone info or an example on how to make those changeable buttons?
